I purchased the Personal Pitcher Pro package about a month ago for my 10yr old, Aaron and 12yr old Brenton, who are playing for the Livermore American Little League.  Last night Brenton hit a line drive Home Run over the center field fence, the first Home Run of the season for his Majors division and possibly for the league.  The Personal Pitcher has been very easy to use, both of my boys will set it up and hit just about every day, they ask if I can help adjust it to throw close to the home plate and then I dump the balls in and they hit, hit, hit.  It is amazing to see how far and hard they hit the little golf wiffle balls with the “Gro-Bat”, the sweet spot of the ball and the sweet spot of the bat.  It is so simple and easy to use they want to hit all the time and when they have friends over they set it up themselves.  They set it up pretty quick and easy and there may be a few batters ‘hit’ by the pitch… They actually use it for fielding ground balls and bunting practice.

I swear it made a difference.  My son did not hit one ball during tryouts.  Not one.  But then at the first practice, he was the only one to hit one over, and hit all of 30 pitches except 2. The increase in my batting average is substantial thanks to this pitching machine.  Yeah, I compromised my home-run totals this year, but that was a conscious decision; I chose to hit for average instead of the occasional HR.  NEXT year though, I am going to add some bulk and hopefully the HR numbers will climb also.
