First Major League Pitch...HOME RUN!
Meet Chris Richard...
The first user of the Personal Pitcher®, hits a home run on his very first at-bat in AAA for the Memphis Redbirds of the Pacific Coast League. Chris was called up to the St. Louis Cardinals and on July 17, 2000, hit his first pitch for a home run against the Twins. Later that month he was traded to the Orioles and played the last 45 games in the season. He hit .276 and had 13 home runs! Currently, Chris is currently the starting left fielder for the Tampa Bay AAA team, the Durham Bulls.
A recent news article about Chris who still uses
his Personal Pitcher regularly!
And NOW One of Our All Stars is A Padre!
Allan Dykstra,
Age 15 to Present
Allan
received a Personal Pitcher on his 7th birthday! He used the skills he
learned using the Personal Pitcher to become a two-time Little League
All-Star, a Pony League All-Star, an AAU National Champion, and a
member of the USA National 14U team in the Pan Am Games in 2001. In
2004 he played for the Rancho Bernardo High School team and the
nationally rated San Diego Sting baseball club. (The video below shows
his early batting style.)
In 2005 Allan began playing for Div. 1 Wake Forest University on a baseball scholorship! Here's the content of a news article during his college career:
WINSTON-SALEM , N.C. — Wake Forest first baseman Allan Dykstra was named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American squad by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper on Thursday. Dykstra already earned the 2006 ACC Rookie of the Year and was named All-ACC second team.
The San Diego, Calif., native led the Demon Deacons in slugging percentage (.670), on-base percentage (.479), RBI (56), home runs (15), walks (51), sacrifice flies (9) and tied for the team-high in games played (55) and started (55). He currently leads the ACC in OPS, slugging percentage, walks and is tied for the league lead in sacrifice flies. Dykstra also ranks second in the conference in home runs, fifth in on-base percentage, sixth in RBI, ninth in doubles (17) and ninth in total bases (124).

Nationally, Dykstra ranked sixth in
walks, 39th in slugging percentage and 42nd in home runs. He finished
among the top 10 single-season freshman records in walks (1st), doubles
(t-1st), home runs (t-2nd), RBI (t-2nd), runs scored (t-5th), games
started (7th), games played (9th) and hits (t-10th). In fact, his 51
walks were the third most in single-season school history. Dykstra also tied a Wake Forest single-game school record with three home runs against Davidson on March 28. He recorded 15 multi-RBI games, including a pair of five RBI outings, and registered 15 multi-hit games. And NOW! June 2008, Allan was just drafted in the first round by our very own San Diego Padres! A Recent Personal Pitcher Success Story!
Back in ‘96 I was about to quit Baseball. I went to a Baseball game and I saw the machine being demonstrated, and at the same time there was a drawing going on. So I entered it and later on in the game I saw my name on the Jumbotron scoreboard saying that I have won a prize—my own Personal Pitcher! I've played since I was 6 years and I always had a problem with my batting skills. Nobody ever bothered to help me to improve. Thanks to the Personal Pitcher I've been playing in different leagues and have moved from last spot in the batting order to the clean up spot. I've never been a power hitter but [with the Personal Pitcher] all your strength is focused on hitting the ball in line drives, giving me a perfect swing. Thanks to the personal pitcher I've accomplished more than I thought I would ever do in Baseball! Just last month the season started, and I already have 3 home-runs in 4 games! This is a picture of me when I started using the Personal Pitcher. I became one of the best hitters in the league; my average was above 500 and every game was multi-hitting and I only got one strikeout. This is incredible for me, as I was getting strikeouts almost every time. Before I had the Personal Pitcher, my average was the lowest of all, and I never played in other leagues because of my lack of skills. Thanks for this WONDERFUL invention! It changed my life! Sincerely, Mechanicsville Little League Team
Our 12-year-old girls have used the Personal Pitcher most days in practice and won the Little League North Carolina District 2 tournament, winning 4 games to go UNDEFEATED! At States last weekend we advanced to the Little League Fast Pitch Regional in Georgia! So far, in 7 games, we have outscored our opponents 59-10! The girls are killing the ball, top to bottom! Thanks for a GREAT PRODUCT! Thanks also for helping us raise some money! This was taken in Ft. Myers, Florida, after we had suffered a 2-1 loss (in extra innings) to Tennessee in the Semi-finals of the South Eastern Regional Championship. Up to that point, they were doing quite well! Our Junior Girls Team used the Personal Pitcher at every practice and before every game. At our District 5 Championships, we out-scored our opponents 42-6! At the Virginia State Championships we out-scored our opponents 52-2. After a session with the Personal Pitcher, the batters were ON FIRE! They finished with a respectable record of 2-2 in the regional competition. Once again, I can't thank you enough for this marvelous machine. I have been approached by numerous coaches to assist them with their teams' batting skills. At one point, I was working with the Major, Junior, and Senior Girls All-Star Teams, one Girls 12U Travel Ball Team, a Girls 14U Trabel Ball Team, and was invited to assist with a Boys Little League Invitational Ball Team. All the coaches involve agree that this is the finest training aid that they have ever seen. — Tom Schnurman |
